Dr. Monica Modi was born in Northern California and raised in Southern California. She was valedictorian of her high school in Los Angeles, CA.
At Yale College, she pursued infertility research and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology. She attended Johns Hopkins Medical School where she was involved with medical student leadership. She attended residency in OB/GYN at Vanderbilt University Hospital and Hutzel Hospital at the Detroit Medical Center. During residency she was awarded the Kamran S. Moghissi Award for her work in infertility research.
Dr. Modi is experienced in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, da Vinci robotic surgery, treatment of fibroids, and managing complications of pregnancy. She has published medical articles in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Expert Review of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Journal of Women’s Health.
She enjoys visiting art museums, visiting American landmarks, hiking and traveling overseas.
